Use #ScientistsWhoSelfie to Challenge Science Stereotypes | @SciFri activity by Ryan Becker @physci8

Students can challenge and reflect upon common stereotypes of scientists by comparing their Draw A Scientist  observations to social media depictions of actual scientists through the use of a hashtag. The activity has three parts: Draw-A-Scientist, browse Twitter and Instagram by the hashtag, and compare/contrast the selfies and drawings. Links to research on stereotypes and further extensions are provided.
